straining at their strings
Spiralling, soaring
then suddenly slack and plummeting
Dogs, three of them,
straining at their leashes
Spinning, racing
then suddenly stock still and sniffing
Not sure which is easier to control
nor which more beautiful to behold
but I'm always grateful to land them safely back
and give my arms a rest.
